You could go to a surf shop and purchase gear and equipment but without the basic fundamentals and safety knowledge you will not experience the full enjoyment you are capable of having.

 

In this four hour lesson we were introduced to the flying principles of the kite and how to control and maneuver it in the wind. There were many useful tips given so you would know how to unpack, connect the kite and properly pack the kite up again.

The water waited for us as

we ventured out to practice harnessing the pulling power of the wind with the kite.

After that technique was grasped it was now time to try getting on the board combining all the knowledge that was learned. 

The old cliché remained true; “They made it look so easy”

 

Many attempts presented a gleam of hope to get on the kiteboard to begin the journey of kitesurfing.

It may take many more tries to accomplish the great experience, but having the opportunity to glide along the water on a summer day with the peaceful surrounding water makes it all worth the effort.
