Natural Features at Earl Rowe Provincial Park

Located in central Ontario region and in the Alliston, Ontario area, Earl Rowe Provincial Park resides in a countryside setting off of highway 89. 

In the spring, rainbow trout can be seen leaping up as they make their way up the Boyne River to spawn.

There are two beaches with a large sand covered area to relax in the sun or play.

Animals and Wildlife at Earl Rowe Provincial Park

Earl Rowe Provincial Park attracts more than 100 species of birds to the provincial park. Some of the bird types include the ruby-throated hummingbird, yellow warbler, and purple finch.

Other wildlife at Earl Rowe Provincial Park includes squirrels, rabbits, beaver, fox, turtles and frogs.

Outdoor Activities at Earl Rowe Provincial Park

For the outdoor enthusiast, Earl Rowe Provincial Park provides a variety of options to enjoy within the provincial park. 

Visitors to Earl Rowe Provincial Park are presented with the opportunity to canoe in the water system in the park. 

Canoe Rentals

Earl Rowe Provincial Park provides rentals of canoes and paddleboats at the Park Store.  Properly fitted PFD`s can also be borrowed with a refundable deposit.

There is also a trailer storage with daily and year rates.

There are biking trails in Earl Rowe Provincial Park that can be enjoyed throughout the park.

Hiking in Earl Rowe Provincial Park presents a variety of trails that wind throughout the provincial park.

Winter at Earl Rowe Provincial Park means park access to enjoy cross country skiing, snowshoeing and winter walks throughout the park.  However, the provincial park facilities are closed after Thanksgiving.

Natural Heritage Education Programs are offered at Earl Rowe Provincial Park which are presented by park staff and guests.  Information is explained about Earl Rowe Provincial Park along with children`s programs and educational hikes.

Some guest programs inlclude a snake demonstration, birds of prey exhibit and an astronomy evening.

Earl Rowe Provincial Park is close to Alliston and Cookstown which is located in the community of Innisfil.
