Natural Features of Bon Echo Provincial Park
Bon Echo provincial park was a favourite destination for painters and photographers long ago. Bon Echo Provincial Park is north of Napanee and is known for it's natural feature, Mazinaw Rock. The Mazinaw rock face is 1.5 kilometres and rises 100 metres above Mazinaw Lake, one of the deepest lakes in Ontario. There are over 260 native pictographs in Bon Echo Provincial Park which makes them the largest visible collection in Canada and North America.

Bon Echo Provincial Park contains beautiful forests, lakes, and beaches with a combination of a rich cultural history, and a wonderful geological feature, the Mazinaw Rock.
Wildlife at Bon Echo Provincial Park includes deer, moose, black bear, red fox and beaver.
Outdoor Activities at Bon Echo Provincial Park
At Bon Echo Provincial Park you can spend a day or plan overnight camping trips with the opportunity to hike through green forests, canoe in the deep blue lakes, sandy beaches, view the granite rock formations.
If you plan to hike, Friends of Bon Echo have produced interpretive trail guides which can be obtained at the Park Office or main gate.
If you plan to canoe, there is an opportunity to rent one in Bon Echo Provincial Park or bring your own and view some of the canoe routes in Bon Echo Provincial Park.
Bon Echo Provincial Park offers educational programs during the summer and fall seasons. These include guided hikes, evening programs and children's activities.

Bon Echo Provincial Park is close to the towns Cloyne and Kaladar, Ontario. It may be more known to be between Bellville and Renfrew.
Other things to do outdoors near Bon Echo Provincial Park include a nearby Kaladar Pine Barrens Conservation Reserve and Puzzle Lake Provincial Park. There is an old Canadian Pacific Railway rail-bed passing through the town which has now become part of the Trans Canada Trail.
Bon Echo Provincial Park is on the southern edge of the Canadian Shield in Eastern Ontario.
