Fitzroy provincial park host many majestic white pine which covers much of the park beside the Ottawa River.
There are great century-old trees and a stand of 300-year-old bur oak by the Carp River. Near these trees you can see kildeer, goldfinches, flickers and white-tailed deer.
Near the river's edge, shale terraces and pillars reveal a glacial past and an even mightier waterway. Keep your eyes open for raccoon, chipmunks, rabbits and white-tailed deer.
